Query Guidelines
Crescent Moon Press awaits your submissions. We are currently accepting novels of 75,000 to 120,000 words. We want authors who show extraordinary ability to weave romance with tales of fantasy, magick, the paranormal, and science fiction. Send us stories with strong, unforgettable characters, plots that twist and turn, and a style that sets your work apart from other writers in the market.
Query by sending us an e-mail with QUERY and novel title in the subject line.
In the body of the e-mail, include a one page letter giving the length and genre (fantasy, science fiction, paranormal, magick, etc.). Also list your publishing credits, contest wins, writing affiliations, and other information to your credit.
If we're interested, we will send you an e-mail asking for the first chapter, formatted in the following manner:
Microsoft Word.doc only
One inch margins, sides and bottom.
Georgia 12 pt font
1 ½ line spacing
One space after each period.
Header: upper left, title/your last name------------page number in upper right
Italics where necessary
Crescent Moon Press will NOT accept unsolicited material. You MUST query first with a letter and a one page synopsis.
Allow 4 weeks for us to answer the query. Again, Microsoft Word.doc only.

Author's Compensation Package
CMP offers a royalty of 37.5% for all ebooks sold 7.5% for print books up to 5,000 copies sold 10% for print books from copy 5001-10,000 12% for print books from 10,001 and up. Print books to follow ebooks.
Royalties will be paid twice a year, dates to be announced after we have posted the schedule for our first releases.
CMP will retain the rights to all works for 5-7 years from the date of the contract.
